Stay the night at Y City Mountain Inn, and Mill Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Ouachita Mountains has to offer. Prairie Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit, and you're most likely hooked on lakes, Poteau River Site Five Lake is one of those close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. Throughout the       summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Waldron Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Waldron Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Candlewood Suites FORT SMITH; why not go to Poteau River Watershed Site Five Dam if you're here. Waldron Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and                  January meanwhile is the driest month. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
