     A lake nearby is Harris Brake Lake, and Lewisburg Bay RV Park is a perfect local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Van Dalsen Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Van Dalsen Lake are in the 20's. There's whitewater on Lake Norrell Spillway for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Days Inn Morrilton,  
   naturally you could also stop by Open Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly bountiful here at Van Dalsen Lake. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Cedar Creek, and Greathouse Creek is next to Van Dalsen Lake and is always a pleasure to visit. Van Dalsen Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of
 
               the year is January. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Van Dalsen Lake Dam next to Van Dalsen Lake; Caney Creek is also a brilliant location to look at.
If you need a spot to stay Scottish Inns Morrilton is a good choice, and Van Dalsen Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Lake Sylvia Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby.

This place holds many wonderful memoriers for me, with my family. This is where I learned to swim and many wonderful picnics. I was a Scout Leader and in the late sixties took my Scout Troop every summer to the Girl Scout Camp. My Great Aunt Nancy Quinn worked in the kitchen and we all had so much fun.. Just wanted to share a wonderful memory.....
