Hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper Lake; Atlanta State Park Trail is a wonderful local trail, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous nearby course is South Haven Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Upper Lake, and the night is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in       the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Upper Lake. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TEXARKANA is a nice choice, and while you're here, you could also check out pretty Whites Camp Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Shadey Park RV and Trailer Haven is a tremendous location to camp, and pleasant hiking is available along the Rocky Point Park Trail. Upper Lake is                  a pretty wet place mostly with much precipitation; most of the rain falls all through December, and the driest month of the year is August. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Why not camp at Sterling Crest RV Park since you're here at Upper Lake; you'll come across a beautiful lake called Lower Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
