     If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Galla Creek; after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Morrilton is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lewisburg Bay RV Park is a great campground nearby, and the scenery at Timberlake Dam is beautiful. A lake nearby is Pool Nine, and let's not forget Crane Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here.
Not enough hours in a day
 
   to enjoy this location. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Morrilton, and Timberlake Reservoir is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Morrilton Koa Kampground is a good spot to camp nearby. Timberlake Reservoir gets lots of water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January is the month with the least moisture. At Timberlake Reservoir during the summertime highs are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs all through  
               the winter are typically in the 40's; overnight lows at Timberlake Reservoir during the wintertime usually plunge into the 20's.
A perfect site for whitewater paddling near Timberlake Reservoir is Cedar Creek, and Payne Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by.

I was a Scout Leader and in the late sixties took my Scout Troop every summer to the Girl Scout Camp. My Great Aunt Nancy Quinn worked in the kitchen and we all had so much fun.. Just wanted to share a wonderful memory.....
