Go to Taton Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The high level of precipitation makes Taton Lake a reasonably wet spot; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and August is the month with the least moisture. Bayou Des Arc River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Ford Bottoms is a beautiful place any time of year, needless to say you could also go to Willow Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.

| | camping is available at Tall Pines RV Park. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Taton Lake; the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Taton Lake sink into the 20's. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Cabot is a good choice, and camping at Oakley Estates Mobile Home Park is always a wonderful experience.

wonderful. Cranbury Inn and Suites is a great location to get some rest; some of the water nearby flows, like Dubb Creek. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do close to Taton Lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Cadron Creek - East Fork, and you can take a little trip to Taton Lake Dam since you're here at Taton Lake.

Faulkner Lake
| Well I have fished faulkner lake for about a year and still have no clue on how to catch crappie. It's a clear lake with lots of grass fairly deep from what I have seen with alot of trees near the bank and off the bank so yo's must work well. I do have pictures but have not uploaded them yet................ |
