Lake Lakima is a nearby lake that you could check out, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Sugar Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. Lake Takima is a quite wet place mostly with a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and January is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Lake Takima during the summer are in the 90's while overnight                  lows are ordinarily in the 70's.
