Mill Pond is a pleasant lake near Sylvan Lake, and Ouachita River is a good whitewater spot close by. There's so much to do here at Sylvan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Albert Pike Store and Cabin is a good location for that; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Caddo River. A good deal of rain falls at Sylvan Lake; most of the rain falls through       May; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Tigue Lake Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here; Strawn Mountain is clearly visible from Sylvan Lake. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Ouachita Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sylvan Lake has to offer, you can camp at Arrowhead Cabin and Canoe Rentals, and a trip to Strawn Springs will fill your spirit with nice                  feelings. Gap Creek flows through this neighborhood, and there are other places here than Sylvan Lake, for example Tigue Lake. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Sylvan Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Sylvan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Sylvan Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Arkadelphia. So many cool things close to Sylvan Lake, clearly phenomenal.
