The great people of Arkadelphia like to hang out nearby. Ouachita River is a wonderful whitewater spot close to Sylvan Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Arrowhead Cabin and Canoe Rentals is a good site to camp. At Sylvan Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently       in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Sylvan Lake tend to be in the 20's. So much fun stuff to do at Sylvan Lake, so little time. The vista of Strawn Mountain from Sylvan Lake is stunning; a short visit to Strawn Springs is always worthwhile. This is a good vicinity for people who like lakes. Tigue Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Camp Albert Pike Store and Cabin is a magnificent local campground. This lake is located in the                  wonderful Ouachita Mountains. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Ouachita Mountains. If you're here at Sylvan Lake, you could go to Gap Creek; a magnificent location for whitewater paddling is Caddo River. Sylvan Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Caddo Gap is next to Sylvan Lake and is a great site, and Tigue Lake Dam is wonderful. This location, the Ouachita Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things.
