If you come at the right time of year, Lee Creek offers some nice whitewater; Colonial Motel is a tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The Butterfield Hiking Trail offers hiking at its best, and Garrett Hollow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Boston Mountains. Camping is available at Alma Koa Kampground, and dry warm beds                  await you at Best Western Van Buren Inn. During the summer at Switchback Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
