If you need a location to stay Searcy-Days Inn is a fine choice; obviously, this is a glorious region for people who like lakes, Schroeder Lake is a lake in close proximity. You'll meet a lot of folks from Searcy here, and Swan Ponds is good enough to spend more than a day at, Wyldewood Retreat center & Summer is a good local campground. Swan Ponds is a beautiful lake in the Boston Mountains. That right there is a       load already, but it carries on; Swan Ponds has it all. A perfect close by hotel is Hampton Inn Searcy, and you can run the rapids of Big Creek. Swan Ponds frequently gets much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Boston Mountains. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Boston Mountains.                  A perfect spot to camp here at Swan Ponds is Whitney Lane RV Park; hey, Pine Run is a glorious local stream. The warmest time of the year at Swan Ponds arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and night lows at Swan Ponds during the winter commonly fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
