You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Boston Mountains has to offer. A pretty lake like Portia Bay in close proximity to Swan Pond is a fine place to check out, and camping is available at Lake Charles State       Park. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn Suites Pocahontas is a good place to get some rest; Horner Bay is a great lake nearby. For the period of the summertime months here at Swan Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's.
