A pleasant close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn & Suites/Russellville, and some nearby water includes Cape Slough. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn RUSSELLVILLE is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and a golf course nearby is Chamberlyne       Country Club. Surrounded Ridges Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ouachita Mountains. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Ouachita Mountains is excellent! If you come at the right time of year, Big Shoal Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and Peter George Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Mount Nebo State Park is a nice place to do that, and Surrounded Ridges Lake is a place with many                  visitors from Russellville. At Surrounded Ridges Lake during the summertime highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Surrounded Ridges Lake tend to be in the 20's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary; a lake nearby is Peeler Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of precipitation makes Surrounded Ridges Lake a reasonably wet place; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is January.
