This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Hot Springs National Park is worthwhile; lots of people from Little Rock-North Little Rock come here. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. Surge Pond gets a good deal of water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Home Park is a great campground nearby. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Surge Pond reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 50's
with temperatures at Surge Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. So much fun stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just striking. Saline River - North Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and there's
some flowing water close by, Cold Spring Branch is a stream you can have a look at while you're here. Stay the night at Salem Pines Mobile Home Park; lakes are such serene places, why not check out Surge Pond.

Then you are talking about going through the heart of Little Rock, with street overpasses some barely clearing the creek, lots of debris, etc.... |
