If time allows, Hot Springs National Park is a national park worth taking a look at. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. The panorama of charming Bear Den Mountain near Sturgis Pond is wonderful, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Governors Suites is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. Nowlin Creek is a wonderful local       stream, and camping is available at Pfeifer Camp. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Camp Grundy Lake is one of those nearby, and why not camp at Blue Sky RV Park since you're here at Sturgis Pond. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Sturgis Pond has it all. Sturgis Pond is a place with many visitors from Little Rock-North Little Rock, also Sturgis Pond Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. You definitely should like the Ouachita                  Mountains. A delightful nearby hotel is Embassy Suites Little Rock, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock Creek. Sturgis Pond is a wet place that gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls through May, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
