In Arkansas there are many beautiful lakes, South Pond is one of them. Don't leave South Pond without first checking out Briar Bluff, and nice hiking is available along the Alum Cove National Recreation Trail. At South Pond during the warm months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at South Pond dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.

This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Harrison come to South Pond, and let's not forget Hoskin Creek which is a stream that you may
stumble upon during your stay. Since you're here at South Pond why not have a look at Sawmill Hollow. Lakes? Sure, North Pond is in the vicinity. A good deal of rainfall falls at South Pond; all through the month of May you get the
most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at South Pond. There's perfect hiking along the Hurricane Trail, and a splendid
nearby hotel is Little Switzerland Cabins. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at South Pond. Having a good time in the Boston Mountains is simple. After a long day outdoors Family Budget Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two, and the Cherry Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best.
