High temperatures at Smith Lake through the summer are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Smith Lake descend into the 30's. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors,       just come on down to Smith Lake. Smith Lake is near Smith Lake Dam which is a stunning site unquestionably worth taking a look at, and lots of folks from Texarkana come here. An afternoon playing golf at South Haven Golf Club is always a bliss, and Best Western Texarkana Inn & Suites is a fine location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are nice locations to explore along the Rocky Point Park Trail; why not camp at Sterling Crest RV Park                  if you're here at Smith Lake.
