Any time is a good time at Sleepy Valley Middle Lake if you love the outdoors. Gulpha Gorge Campground is a tremendous campground nearby; for you golfers we recommend nearby Magic Hills Public Golf Course. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. There are other locations here than Sleepy Valley Middle Lake, for example Sleepy Valley Lake, and you can stay the night at Cloud Nine Recreational       Vehicle Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. You're sure to run into some fine folks from Hot Springs here, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Big Chalybeate Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Gulpha Creek, and not far from Sleepy Valley Middle Lake you'll hit upon Sleepy Valley Lower Lake which is a lovely lake. Sleepy Valley Middle Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ouachita Mountains.                  All the water falling down from the sky makes Sleepy Valley Middle Lake a wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Glide down the rapids of Blakely Creek - North Fork in a kayak, and Hot Springs Mountain is clearly visible from Sleepy Valley Middle Lake. Through the summer at Sleepy Valley Middle Lake highs are mostly in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Sleepy Valley Middle Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. After a long day outdoors Travelier Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and Lower Dam Number Two has brilliant water scenery. This lake is so wonderful.
