Sleepy Valley Lower Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Sleepy Valley Lake, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Magic Hills Public Golf Course. Whitewater paddling
is good on Blakely Creek - North Fork. Having a brilliant time in the Ouachita Mountains is easy. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Hot Springs is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and Big Chalybeate Spring is an inspiring
spot to take a look at while here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Ouachita Mountains has to offer. A visit to Hot Springs National Park is worthwhile, and if you came for an overnight stay Gulpha Gorge
Campground is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Cloud Nine Recreational Vehicle Park is a nice local campground, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gulpha Creek.
The Gorge is a splendid site to spend some time at, and if you need a place to stay Travelier Inn is a great choice.

Most of the rapids are in the first half mile and a few more when you join up with the main fork of Blakely creek. De Roche creek nearby is a better run but this would make a good chaser or a good intro to creek paddleing.... |
