For the duration of the warm months highs here at Sherlock Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Sherlock Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Sherlock Lake is a beautiful lake in the Boston Mountains. A quick       visit to Sulphur Creek near Sherlock Lake is a splendid idea, and since you're here, you might as well have a look at Happy Hollow. Just can't get enough of Sherlock Lake. A great spot to camp here at Sherlock Lake is Swinging Bridge Trout Dock; a great close by hotel is Red Apple Inn & Country Club. Get covered with water paddling on Possum Walk Creek; why not take a look at Sherlock Lake Dam while you're here. That right there is lots of entertaining things                  already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Journey With Inn is a good place to get some rest, and at Sherlock Lake you can observe Sugar Loaf Mountain. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sherlock Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Big Creek in a kayak, and Cooter Neck Bend is an exciting thing to spot if you're here. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Boston Mountains.
