Sure, Shady Lake is near Shady Lake; some close by water includes East Saline Creek. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Ouachita Mountains. Western Plaza Inn is a splendid location to get some rest. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. This is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes. J and B Lake is a       lake in the vicinity, and you can take a little spree to Shady Lake Dam if you're here at Shady Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Harris Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and you can stay the night at Queen Wilhelmina State Park. Wolf Pen Gap Atv Campground is a nice campground nearby, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Gap Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Shady Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Summer                  night lows fall down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Shady Lake fall into the 20's. Shady Lake ordinarily gets much rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. There are some great whitewater spots on Saline River, and Tall Peak is a peak you can see from Shady Lake.
