Texarkana KOA is a good local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Texarkana Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. You could also go to Willow Lake if you're here at Scott Lake; it's nearby, and swamps are interesting sites and Bluff Lake close to Scott Lake is no exception.       Scott Lake is a quite wet place usually with a good deal of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a location this is for outdoors people. You'll meet a lot of folks from Hope here, and Scott Lake is not the only location close by, Kuykendall Lake is a close by lake. All through the summer months at Scott Lake highs are regularly in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours                  it's typically in the 70's.
