Vaughn Wilson Lake Dam is a lovely spot near Safley Pond, and a delightful place to camp here at Safley Pond is Deer Run Park. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Boston Mountains has to offer. Lakes are magnificent; Vaughn Wilson Lake is a lake that's close to Safley Pond; Salado Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. For the duration       of the summer at Safley Pond temperatures are typically in the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows at Safley Pond through the wintertime generally plunge into the 20's. From Safley Pond you get a great view of Waugh Mountain, and not far from Safley Pond you'll find Waugh Pond which is a scenic lake. If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be.                  After a long day outdoors Super 8 Batesville is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Wolf Bayou. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Boston Mountains is peerless! A quick trip to Arnold Branch in close proximity to Safley Pond is a tremendous idea, and Safley Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Speedway RV Park is a good local campground. Safley Pond typically gets lots of precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. While you're here at Safley Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Batesville, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Batesville.
