Eleven Point River is a good local stream, and Straight Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Through the summertime at Round Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the       40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Round Lake tend to be in the 20's. What a site this is for outdoors people. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Old Davidsonville State Park. While staying at Round Lake you could always look at Spring River Shoal, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Suites Pocahontas is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Round Lake is a wet place that gets                  a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May; June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
