Ricks Pond is always a pleasure to visit. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Springs Hotel and Spa, and Desoto Park Dam is a pretty spot, without doubt worth checking out. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Saline River - Middle Fork. Big Chalybeate Spring is always fun to check out, of course you could also go to Desoto Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.

The Ouachita
Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Embassy Suites Hotel Hot Springs, Ar is a delightful spot to spend a night or two, and you'll meet a lot of people from Hot Springs here.
There's so much to do here at Ricks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Gulpha Gorge Campground is a pleasant place for that, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Sleepy Valley Lower Lake is just a very short
distance away.
Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains. The panorama of Hot Springs Mountain from Ricks Pond is charming, and the panoramas at Hot Springs National Park will blow your mind. Ricks Pond gets a great deal of water; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is regularly the driest month.
