Get soaked paddling on Gulpha Creek; get yourself into a kayak and hit Saline River - Middle Fork. Be careful coming to the Ouachita Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Looking for a perfect tour? Hot Springs National Park is reasonably in the vicinity of Ricks Lake; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bethel Lake is just       a very short distance away. The high level of rain makes Ricks Lake a pretty wet site; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Phil's Mobile Home Park is a pleasant place to do that, and after a long day outdoors Springs Hotel and Spa is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Ricks Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime                  lows dip down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Ricks Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Ricks Lake to spot the water at Ricks Dam, and Ricks Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pit Stop RV Park and Restaurant is a great local campground. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You could also pop by Hot Springs Reservoir since you're here at Ricks Lake; it's close by, and Ricks Lake is not far at all from Hot Springs. If you're here at Ricks Lake and you like golf, you can go to Magic Hills Public Golf Course, and dry warm beds await you at Shamrock Motel.
