Arkansas has many beautiful lakes and Reeds Lake is one of them. Reeds Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains. So many cool things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too pleasant to be true. Stay the night at Rich Mountain Country Store; a striking lake like Ivey Lake is a brilliant place to have a look at. You don’t have to go far from Reeds Lake to see the water at Reeds Lake Dam, and if you're here, you could explore Horsepen Creek.

| | time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Reeds Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Reeds Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Reeds Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Horse Heaven Ranch is a fine place to camp nearby, and the top of Round Mountain is easily seen from Reeds Lake. You'll wish | |

for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Reeds Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kiamichi River; there are some nice whitewater spots on Big Creek.
All year is a
nice time in the Ouachita Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Days Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Billy Creek Trail. Lots of rain falls at Reeds Lake; the month with most of the rain is May while January is regularly the driest month.
