The Boston Mountains scenery is always beautiful. A good deal of precipitation falls at Ranson Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Boston Mountains. Here at Ranson Lake there are plenty of folks from Batesville, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Suites Searcy.       Holiday Inn Express Searcy, Ar is a great location to get some rest, and get soaked paddling on Big Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Lost Branch is a stream you can check out while you're here, and paddling on Salado Creek is so much fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Camping is available at Speedway RV Park. Summertime highs at Ranson Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in                  temperatures descend down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Ranson Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Not far from Ranson Lake you obtain some perfect water scenery at Ranson Lake Dam, and here at Ranson Lake you can see Round Mountain.   Comfort Suites Searcy, Searcy 14 miles away All-suite hotel with comfortable rooms and fantastic hospitality.
