Rainbow Lake is a nice lake to visit. All year is a perfect time in the Boston Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Lake Sherwood is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Rainbow Lake is close to Bee Gum Hollow which is unquestionably worth visiting. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spring River - South Fork; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Bee Creek. | | Boston Mountains, too wonderful to be true. A lake nearby is Lake Galilee, and a fine spot to camp here at Rainbow Lake is Spring River Valley Camp.
At Rainbow Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's; the night is a little chillier of course, generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Rainbow Lake tend to be in the 10's. Days Inn Hardy is a good place to get some rest, and | |

Rainbow Lake Dam is a pretty spot, positively worth visiting. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Village Inn is a good location to spend a
night or two, and from Rainbow Lake you get a glorious sight of Biggers Hill. Much rainfall falls at Rainbow Lake; most of the rain falls through May while January is mostly the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at
Rainbow Lake. Camping is available at Hardy Camper Park, and Spring River is a perfect whitewater spot nearby.
This lake is so wonderful.

 | In the summer of 1967 as a teenage boy I visited my father; he was living south of Ravenden at the time. He was employed by a contractor to work on the then future ''Thunderbird Lake''. I went to work with him one day and rode in a dump truck as he brought out load after load of rock and gravel. I think of that summer anytime I think of my father; it was a great summer for me and, dad, I miss you more than I can say.... |
