A swamp like Ford Slough right next door to Pinhook Lake has lots of exciting things to see, and do stop at Alligator Lake, it's a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pinhook Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shadey Park RV and Trailer Haven is a brilliant location for that, and don't leave Pinhook       Lake without first going for a hike along the Rocky Point Park Trail. While you're here at Pinhook Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Texarkana, and an attention-grabbing thing to stop at near Pinhook Lake is Long Slough Dam. Pinhook Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically December, that's the one that rains the most while August is typically the driest month.
