Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Boston Mountains. A splendid place to camp here at Phillips Lake is Lake Charles State Park; Flat Creek Site Two Reservoir is a nice lake nearby. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Camping is available at Old Davidsonville State Park, and a magnificent close by hotel is Days Inn Suites Pocahontas. Summertime highs at       Phillips Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Phillips Lake are in the 20's. The high level of rain makes Phillips Lake a rather wet spot; March is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not visit Flat Creek Site One Dam since you're here; lakes are such calm places, why not                  stop by Ralph McDonald Lake.
