A good deal of precipitation falls at Parker Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Magazine Hiking Trail, and Cherokee Creek Golf Club is a perfect golf course nearby. If you come at the right       time of year, Jack Creek offers some perfect whitewater; if you get bored of Parker Lake you could also go to close by Sixmile Creek Watershed Site Five Reservoir. Through the warm days of summer at Parker Lake highs are usually in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Parker Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Looking for some flowing water? Try Little Sixmile                  Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Ozark. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful place to go to in close proximity to Parker Lake is Ferguson Valley. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Alma is a fine choice, and camping is available at Mount Magazine State Park. And that's not all you can do here at Parker Lake.
