All the water falling down from the sky makes Otter Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Brier Creek is a nice spot to pop by, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Creek offers some nice whitewater. Whitney Lane RV Park is a splendid local campground,       and if you came for an overnight stay Wyldewood Retreat center & Summer is a pleasant place to camp. Hampton Inn Searcy is a glorious place to get some rest; you'll meet a lot of folks from Searcy here. Throughout the months of summer here at Otter Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Otter Pond are in                  the 20's. So many entertaining things to do here in the Boston Mountains, too wonderful to be true. There are some great whitewater spots on Bayou Des Arc River; if you need a place to stay Searcy-Days Inn is a perfect choice. So much cool stuff to do at Otter Pond, so little time.
