There are some nice whitewater spots on Bayou Des Arc River, and you'll probably meet some people from Searcy here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Otter Pond a wet place; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Visit Brier Creek while you're here at Otter Pond; while       you're here, you could also take a look at scenic Chavell Lake Two. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Searcy, and if you came for an overnight stay Wyldewood Retreat center & Summer is a great spot to camp. So many amusing things to do here in the Boston Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Whitney Lane RV Park is a great local campground, and do take a look at Wyldewood Lake, it's a pretty lake. After a long day outdoors Searcy-Days Inn is a nice place                  to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Big Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Otter Pond is one of the lakes here in the Boston Mountains. For the period of the summer months at Otter Pond highs are regularly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Otter Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
