Nowlin Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; August is when it's the driest. Blakely Creek - North Fork is a good whitewater spot near Nowlin Pond, and Camp Winnamocka is a fine local campground.

This stream is really small and can only be paddled after locally heavy rain. Most of the rapids are in the first half mile and a few more when you join up with the main fork of Blakely creek.
De Roche creek nearby is a better run but this would make a good chaser or a good intro to creek paddleing....
