Norfork Dam is picturesque and it's in the vicinity of Norfork Lake, and Norfork Lake is not far at all from Mountain Home. Looking for some flowing water? Try Dry Creek, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is North Sylamore Creek. Norfork Lake is located in the Boston Mountains. Norfork       Lake gets a great deal of water; all through May this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Stay the night at Crawford's RV Park, and Buffalo River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Norfork Lake you come across Hopewell Hollow which is a brilliant place to check out, and if you need a location to stay Mountain Home Days Inn is a nice choice. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Norfork                  Lake. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Norfork Lake. And that's not everything you can do here in the Boston Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Norfork Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crestwood Manor, and Ramada Inn is a great spot to get some rest.
