If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Norfork Dam, naturally you could also visit Gardner Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is one of the great places here in the Boston Mountains. A great deal of rain falls at Norfork Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       This lake is so wonderful. All through the summertime months at Norfork Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Norfork Lake. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Get yourself into a kayak and hit North Sylamore Creek, and camping at Crawford's RV Park is always                  a nice experience. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Ramada Inn is a great place to get some rest; a good place to camp here at Norfork Lake is Crestwood Manor. A lake nearby is Higginbottom Lake; do take a look at Dry Creek while you're here at Norfork Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hopewell Hollow is a perfect location to visit close to Norfork Lake, and there are some good whitewater spots on Buffalo River. Be careful coming to the Boston Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again.
