Grand Marais Campground is a fine campground nearby, and swamps don’t sound that wonderful but Spring Slu next to Mud Lake is relatively wonderful. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Mud Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. Daytime highs       throughout the wintertime are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a picturesque lake called Pereogeethe Lake near Mud Lake, and you need to take a look at Stormhole Bend while you're here. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mud Lake. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Eagle Lake right next door to Mud Lake, and Americas Best Value Inn Crossett is a great                  spot to get some rest.
