     Mount Gaylor Lake is a nice lake to visit. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Boston Mountains, too wonderful to be true. You can run the rapids of Clear Creek right next door to Mount Gaylor Lake. There's so much to do here at Mount Gaylor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Leaf Camp Park is a wonderful location for that. Summertime highs at Mount Gaylor Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically  
   in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Mount Gaylor Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and if you need a location to stay Alma-Days Inn is a magnificent choice. Lake Shepherd Springs is a nearby lake that you could check out; Jones Fork is one of the streams close by that might
 
               be worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Mount Gaylor Lake Dam in the vicinity of Mount Gaylor Lake is striking; if you get bored of Mount Gaylor Lake you could also explore nearby Lake Sheppard Spring Reservoir.
Mount Gaylor Lake gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls during May while January is ordinarily the driest month. Mount Gaylor Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Winn Creek RV Retreat is a wonderful local campground, and the sight of Gaylor Mountain is gorgeous. Mount Gaylor Lake is located in the Boston Mountains.
All year is a wonderful time in the Boston Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Near Mount Gaylor Lake you find the Butterfield Hiking Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and Mount Gaylor Lake is in the neighborhood of Pense Hollow which is definitely worth going to. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Going for a hike on the Shores Lake Water Rock Spur is always a splendid adventure; a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Frog Bayou.

Frog Bayou
I don't know where you are from, but you obviously don't know the best way to run Frog Bayou. It is not by raft. An open canoe is best. Kayaks are fine. But this is not the Rocky Mountain West and rafts are too big for these Ozark great creeks like Frog Bayou. Solo or tandem open canoes rule....
