These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Lake Alma, and a perfect place to have a look at is Bonita Hollow. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Morris Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Alma-Days Inn, and the good folks of Fort Smith like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful.       Not far from Morris Lake you get some glorious water scenery at Morris Lake Dam; not far from Morris Lake you'll come across Hall Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Morris Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest of the months is January. While you're here at Morris Lake you can play some golf at Eagle Crest Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we                  recommend Cedar Creek. Summertime highs at Morris Lake generally tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Morris Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Frog Bayou offers some great whitewater; Comfort Inn & Suites is a nice spot to get some rest. Morris Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, KOA Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground, and the Butterfield Hiking Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Boston Mountains. There's so much to do here at Morris Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Alma Koa Kampground is a delightful site for that; Fine Springs is always fun to check out. There is a perfect hiking trail near Morris Lake called the Shores Lake Water Rock Spur.
