Montgomery Lake is a nice lake to visit. Montgomery Lake is a beautiful lake in the Boston Mountains. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Boston Mountains. You can run the rapids of Cedar Creek - West Fork close to Montgomery Lake, and a round of golf at nearby FT Smith Country Club is a glorious way to kill some time. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Montgomery Lake get into the 90's with

| | overnight lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's; nighttime lows at Montgomery Lake through the winter generally fall into the 20's.
You could also visit Lee Creek Reservoir while you're here at Montgomery Lake; it's close by, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Cedar Creek - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. So much fun stuff to do here at Montgomery Lake, too great to be true. Park Ridge RV Campground | |

is a magnificent campground here; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Van Buren (I-40 @ Hwy. 59 N.), is a splendid site to spend a night or two.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Montgomery Lake a wet spot;
May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Montgomery Lake Dam is gorgeous and it's near Montgomery Lake, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Butterfield
Hiking Trail. Super 8 Motel - Van Buren/Ft. Smith Area is a delightful location to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Overland RV Park.
And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun stuff to do in the Boston Mountains.
The friendly folks of Fort Smith like to hang out close by; don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Foster Branch.
