This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. This is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes. Dwiggins Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and there's always Mill Pond Dam to visit in close proximity to Mill Pond. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling near Mill Pond is Caddo River; you're in all probability interested in lakes, Kirksey Reservoir is one of those nearby. This lake is so       wonderful. Mill Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Arrowhead Cabin and Canoe Rentals is a good local campground; the cheerful people of Arkadelphia like to hang out nearby. Bigsby Branch flows through this vicinity, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Missouri River. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. If you came to camp Caddo River Camping and Canoe                  Rentals is a tremendous spot to do that, and hiking along the Gap Mountain Trail is glorious fun. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Mill Pond; the night is a little colder of course, typically in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Mill Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains.
