     All the water falling down from the sky makes Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir a wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir without first paying a visit to Marble Falls, and some exciting geology is available here, Briar Bluff is right here. Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Boston Mountains.
Having a brilliant time in
 
   the Boston Mountains is easy. Very magnificent water scenery is available at Mill Creek Hollow Dam in the vicinity of Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir; there are plenty of folks from Harrison here at Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir. High temperatures at Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight  
               here at Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir. You can run the rapids of Buffalo River near Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby South Pond.
A tour to close by Buck Point is very relaxing, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hurricane Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Boston Mountains has to offer. Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Top Of The Mountain Park is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Harrison-Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Flatrock Creek is a pretty stream that is worth going to, and if you're looking for a nice visit, Buffalo National River is relatively near.
What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The Alum Cove National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Yanasochee Campground is a brilliant place for that. Mill Creek Hollow Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Lakes? Sure, North Pond is nearby; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Harrison AR is a glorious site to spend a night or two.

On the trail...
The trail below the natural bridge is covered in dead trees due to the winter ice storm. The trailhead down to the bridge has been cleared. Memorial Day weekend 2009.

Other than that, the trail offers sandstone caves, wet weather waterfall, small stream, and one of the largest natural bridges in the country. You actually walk across the bridge and follow the trail underneath for a panoramic view of the bridge. Very easy hike!...

Some of my extended family and I went out over the weekend of 1/17/2009 for a birthday get-away for a nephew. We stayed in an awesome cabin. Here is one picture we took while hiking the Alum Cove Trail. (error while uploading picture)...
