For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for McQuire Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Landmark Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of McQuire Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Sands Mobile Home Park is a glorious spot to camp. Life's too short to enjoy       all the amusing stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Willow Springs Lake is one of those close by; a good nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn and Suites/Little Rock. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at McQuire Lake. Rock Creek is a nice whitewater spot near McQuire Lake, and N Little Rock Koa Kampground is a great campground nearby. A quick journey to Brewer Branch next to McQuire Lake is                  a magnificent idea, and Landmark Lake Dam is not far at all from McQuire Lake. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
