Lower Hurricane Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Lower Hurricane Lake commonly gets lots of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January. Man, is there a load of cool things to do near Lower Hurricane Lake. Camping is available at Dogwood Campground, and soar down the rapids of Big Devil's Fork in a kayak. Horn Bench is an attention-grabbing thing to spot if you're here at Lower

Not far from Lower Hurricane Lake, you'll discover Sycamore Lake which is a beautiful lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sulphur Trail. This lake is so wonderful. and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Hurricane Lake; Pedestal Rocks Trail is a delightful local trail. It's a splendid idea to have a look at Bens Branch, it's near Lower Hurricane Lake, and paddling on Buffalo River is
so much fun. A perfect spot to camp here at Lower Hurricane Lake is Lum's Mountain Guest Ranch, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Harrison here. Through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lower Hurricane
Lake. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lower Hurricane Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well stop
at Hurricane Hollow; delightful hiking is available along the Hideout Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the
Boston Mountains. The panorama of gorgeous Chinquapin Knob near Lower Hurricane Lake is great, and not far from Lower Hurricane Lake you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Lower Hurricane Lake Dam. Lower Hurricane Lake is one of the lakes here in the Boston Mountains.

 | 12 miles away nice walk had a few trees down blocking the trail (jan ice storm) but a crew from ok was clearing the dead fall i thought it was neat to look thru the cracks in the rocks and see the drop of many feet to the ground... |
Alum Cove National Recreation Trail
 | 19 miles away 2 PHOTOS On the trail... The trail below the natural bridge is covered in dead trees due to the winter ice storm. The trailhead down to the bridge has been cleared. Memorial Day weekend 2009.
Other than that, the trail offers sandstone caves, wet weather waterfall, small stream, and one of the largest natural bridges in the country. You actually walk across the bridge and follow the trail underneath for a panoramic view of the bridge. Very easy hike!... Some of my extended family and I went out over the weekend of 1/17/2009 for a birthday get-away for a nephew. We stayed in an awesome cabin.
