Through the summer at Lee Creek Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 90's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows at Lee Creek Reservoir during the winter regularly plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Boston Mountains. If you came for an overnight       stay Overland RV Park is a great spot to camp; Cedar Creek - West Fork has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. So much entertaining stuff in the Boston Mountains, just astonishing. Super 8 Motel - Van Buren/Ft. Smith Area is a fine location to get some rest; whitewater paddling is good on Cedar Creek. Have a good hiking adventure along the Butterfield Hiking Trail; the wonderful people of Fort Smith like to hang out close by. Do stop at Montgomery                  Lake close to Lee Creek Reservoir, it's a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Van Buren (I-40 @ Hwy. 59 N.), is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore Montgomery Lake Dam while you're here, and FT Smith Country Club is a perfect golf course close by. Lee Creek Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be.
