Camping at Lake Sylvia Campground is always a good experience, and if you need a place to stay Hot Springs Village is a good choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Winona, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Lake Winona tend to be in the 20's. Lake Winona       is located in the Ouachita Mountains. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. Camping is available at Coffee Creek Landing and Motel, and after a long day outdoors Escapes to Hot Springs Village is a perfect place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Big Branch is near Lake Winona and is always a joy to go to, and Lake Winona Dam is striking. Lake Winona gets lots of water; the month of May is the wettest with                  most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many entertaining things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too good to be true. Not far from Lake Winona, you'll stumble on Brown Lake which is a beautiful lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Hansen Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Saline River - Middle Fork offers some perfect whitewater.
