Why not stop by Lake Sherwood if you're passing through these parts. Having a great time in the Boston Mountains is uncomplicated. Lake Galilee is a nearby lake that you could pop by; if you came for an overnight stay Many Islands Camp is a good location to camp. | | wintertime temperatures at Lake Sherwood fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Village Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two; Spring River - South Fork is a nice whitewater spot nearby.

Lake Sherwood is a beautiful lake in the Boston Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Lake Sherwood. Biggers Hill is lovely and can be spotted from Lake Sherwood, and Lake Sherwood Dam is a beautiful place, without doubt worth a visit.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Boston Mountains has to offer. A great close by hotel is Days Inn Hardy; camping is available at Hardy Camper Park.

 | In the summer of 1967 as a teenage boy I visited my father; he was living south of Ravenden at the time. He was employed by a contractor to work on the then future ''Thunderbird Lake''. I went to work with him one day and rode in a dump truck as he brought out load after load of rock and gravel.
