The beauty of Lake Shepherd Springs attracts many people from all around. After a long day outdoors Alma-Days Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and there are some good whitewater spots on Clear Creek. So much enjoyable stuff close to Lake Shepherd Springs, clearly unbelievable. A great close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites; there's nice hiking along the Shores Lake Water Rock Spur. Having a splendid time in the Boston Mountains is easy. Camping

| | is available at Silver Leaf Camp Park, and Cow Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at.
But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. Why not have a look at Lake Sheppard Spring Dam since you're here. Lake Shepherd Springs gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is January. The Boston Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

summertime months highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Lake Shepherd Springs. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but
if it's for you then we recommend Little Mill Creek - East Fork, and Lake Sheppard Spring Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
