If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Morrilton is a good choice, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Cove Creek. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Lake Overcup. Caney Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. This lake is one of the great places here in the Boston Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Morrilton Sewage Lake is right next door to Lake Overcup,       and the scenery at Lake Overcup Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Morrilton Koa Kampground is a fine location to camp; Cedar Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. And that's not all there is to do here in the Boston Mountains. Lewisburg Bay RV Park is a great campground here, and Days Inn is a great spot to get some rest. Lake Overcup is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; during the                  month of May you get the most rain around here; January is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Lake Overcup during the summer are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
