Why not stop by Lake Ola-dale if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. Through the summer at Lake Ola-dale temperatures are generally in the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Ola-dale temperatures plunge to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Keeland Slough near Lake Ola-dale make for tremendous locations to have a look at, and Lake Ola-dale is a good place to visit for more than one day, South Fourche Campground is a good place to camp nearby. While you're here at Lake Ola-dale you will meet lots of people from close by Russellville, and if you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn AND Suites Russellville is a good choice. | |

paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary. Lakes are delightful; Schoonover Lake is a lake that's near Lake Ola-dale. Lake Ola-dale sees pretty high levels of precipitation;
of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to the Ouachita Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. This is a pleasant neighborhood
for folks who like lakes. Keeland Lake is a lake close by, and Mount Nebo State Park is a good local campground.
