Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend South Fourche LaFave, and Mount Nebo State Park is a magnificent campground nearby. And that's not all you can do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Schoonover Lake is a tremendous lake near Lake Ola-dale, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Russellville here. Lake Ola-dale regularly gets a great deal of rainfall; during May this area sees the       most rain; the driest month is January. Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn RUSSELLVILLE is a great site to get some rest, and you can stay the night at South Fourche Campground. Lake Ola-dale is one of the lakes here in the Ouachita Mountains. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Russellville is a wonderful site to spend a night or two, and Keeland Slough is an out of the ordinary swamp near Lake Ola-dale.                  If you come at the right time of year, Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary offers some tremendous whitewater, and there are other places here than Lake Ola-dale, for example Keeland Lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Lake Ola-dale get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
