You don’t have to go far from Lake Norrell to see the water at Lake Norrell Dam; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Benton. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. At Lake Norrell during the warmest       time of the year highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Norrell sink into the 20's. If you yearn for a little side journey, try Devils Hollow, and a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Lake Norrell Spillway. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Norrell a wet location; during May this area sees                  the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Norrell is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Benton RV Park is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saline River - North Fork.
