Lake New Moon is a lake worth visiting. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Saline River - North Fork; not far from Lake New Moon you'll stumble on Lake Norrell which is a stunning lake. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake New Moon. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall

| | down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Lake New Moon temperatures fall to the 20's.

Lake New Moon, simply remarkable. There's so much to do here at Lake New Moon that you need to camp here for a while, Pfeifer Camp is a tremendous place for that.
Lake New Moon is great enough to spend more than a day at, Salem
Pines Mobile Home Park is a great local campground; a wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Lake Norrell Spillway offers some pleasant whitewater; an exciting thing to check out right next door to Lake New Moon is Lake New Moon Dam.
