Nice fishing lake as long as you get there, fish and leave before the ski boats get going. It's not large enough to handle both at the same time.

The beauty of Lake Ludwig attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Dad's Dream RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and Horsehead Creek - West Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Peggy Steep Trail is magnificent fun, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clarksville. While you're here at Lake Ludwig you can take a hike along the Boston Cutoff; why not a little side

Lake Ludwig gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. While staying at Lake Ludwig you could always explore Kings Canyon, and Feltner Bluff is an out of the ordinary thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Lake Ozone is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a wonderful sight of pretty Turkey Mountain is available. Lake Ludwig truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. You can take a little
trip to Ludwig Lake Dam if you're here at Lake Ludwig. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Boston Mountains has to offer. After a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - CLARKSVILLE is a pleasant location to spend
a night or two; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Piney Creek.
Having a great time in the Boston Mountains is trouble-free. Lake Ludwig is a glorious place
to visit for more than one day, Horsehead Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a glorious place to camp nearby, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Ozark Highlands Trail. High temperatures at Lake Ludwig during
the long summer days are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Lake Ludwig tend to be in the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Boston Mountains.
