Nice fishing lake as long as you get there, fish and leave before the ski boats get going. It's not large enough to handle both at the same time.

If you like lakes and you're in this part of Arkansas you can check out Lake Ludwig. This lake is one of the great places here in the Boston Mountains. Lake Ludwig sees pretty high levels of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Boston Mountains. You have to definitely pop by Feltner Bluff if you're here at Lake Ludwig; dry warm beds await

This lake is so wonderful. There are fine sites to look at along the Boston Cutoff, and camping at Horsehead Lake Campground and Picnic Area is always a pleasant experience. Going for a hike on the Ozark Highlands Trail is always a great adventure, and Ludwig Lake Dam is a charming site, beyond doubt worth taking a look at. Dad's Dream RV Park is a fine spot to do that; a good location for whitewater paddling is Horsehead Creek - West Fork.
While you're here at Lake Ludwig you will meet lots of folks from close by Russellville. Near Lake Ludwig you
find the Peggy Steep Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - CLARKSVILLE is a magnificent spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Basham Creek flows through this region, and obviously, A visit to Kings
Canyon is always fun.
All year is a perfect time in the Boston Mountains if you like the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Little Piney Creek near Lake Ludwig, and if the weather is wonderful, you obtain a pleasant view of Turkey
Mountain from Lake Ludwig. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Lake Ludwig, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's with night lows in the 60's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; overnight lows at Lake Ludwig through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 20's.
